The Importance of Homemaking at any Age

I am a lifelong homemaker and I have been blessed to be able to do it for 45 years!

I am still going strong so I guess I really do love my job!

This is not to say that I haven't had many other "side jobs." I have been a substitute teacher, pre-school teacher, individualized educational advocate, book seller, secretary, Etsy shop owner and a manager.  I have held a plethora of volunteer positions as well. But my main occupation has always been a Homemaker.

Just like any other career path it has and continues to have it's challenges.

For me Homemaking isn't political or  overly complicated.

Home is where real life happens. It is the nitty gritty, get in the trenches sort of lifestyle. 

I often times think of the old Motel Six slogan of long ago, "We'll leave the light on for you."

Home and Homemaking is where the light is on 24/7.
