Fall has officially arrived and there are many adventures awaiting us this weekend!
Sometimes it seems to me that before the pandemic there were more adventures awaiting us and having a lovely weekend was a little lovelier.
I hurriedly chase away these non-productive thoughts as though they were dark thunderclouds passing through an azure blue sky.
I made up my mind several months ago that I was not going to be a causality in the tidal wave of negative thinking.
I was going to be a keeper of hope in the everyday loveliness that still exists in our world.
Yes there are and will be more adventures, and always hope and joy.
I am not going to give them up or give up on them.
So here I am cooking more, journaling, gardening furiously, and the glue gun it still plugged in.
Four Fun Links for the Weekend.
With it officially being Fall it's time to eat more squash!🍂
Greetings and happy October friends! Today I am bringing back an oldie but goodie craft; the chicken wire pumpkin. I have had many requests to revisit this post and share the gauge of chicken wire that I used as well as detailed DIY instructions. I went ahead and tweaked the original design of the pumpkin of my 2013 French Western Chicken Wire Pumpkin post by changing the gauge of wire, added some copper wiring, beads and burlap flower.
While I was visiting Amanda this Summer I picked up To Shake The Sleeping Self at a local Bookstore in Truckee California.
This is a New York Times Bestseller by Jedidiah Jenkins. "With winning candor, Jedidiah Jenkins takes us with him as he bicycles across two continents and delves deeply into his own beautiful heart."
She believed she could, so she did.
Have a lovely weekend and thank you for joining me today!
